Megadeth – High Speed Dirt

Coñio, mi compañero de trabajo -Ernesto- me acaba de recordar este temazo; rápido y cañero del disco «Countdown to Extinction» de 1992. Para mi gusto, una de las mejores canciones de la banda estadounidense.

En este disco nos encontramos con la misma formación que tenía Megadeth en su mítico disco «Rust in peace» de 1990. Nick Menza a la batería, David Ellefson al bajo haciendo un trabajo fino y el magnífico guitarrista Marty Friedman.

Tourniquet – Convoluted Absolutes

Gran tema de esta banda estadounidense de thrash metal cristiano (yo sólo informo). Pertenece a su último disco de estudio hasta la fecha llamado «Where Moth And Rust Destroy» de 2003. Disco que por supuesto te recomiendo por sus magníficas canciones -forjadas a base de estructuras bastante complejas-, por la increible voz de Luke Easter y por el brutal trabajo a las baquetas del lider de la banda: Ted Kirkpatrick

Como curiosidad: el artífice del punteo es nada más y nada menos que Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth).

Megadeth – Holy Wars

Temazo con el que se abre el mejor disco con diferencia de estos estadounidenses: «Rust in Peace» de 1990 (ya lo dije hace poco pero ese año es fundamental en el panorama heavy).

Con Marty Friedman a la guitarra solista y Nick Menza a la batería dando caña de la buena este disco cuenta con algunas de las mejores composiciones de Mustain.

Puro Thrash, pura caña!
